Dr. Koong Jun Kit

Dr. Koong Jun Kit started his surgical career as a trainee in Hospital Ipoh. He qualified from University of Malaya with Master of Surgery in 2012 and began working as a general surgeon in University Malaya Medical Centre where he also pursued his interest and fellowship in HPB Surgery. In 2015, he was offered a position with the HPB unit in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital NHS Trust as a clinical fellow where he completed his HPB fellowship in 2016. He then returned to Malaysia, currently a senior lecturer and consultant surgeon with University of Malaya and its affiliates. His clinical and research interest is in benign and malignant HPB diseases as well as liver transplantation. He is also the program manager for a Postgraduate National Organ Donation education program and is active in undergraduate & postgraduate medical education.
