Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wong Zhiqin

Dr Wong Zhiqin is a former Associate Professor of Medicine and Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit in the Faculty of Medicine, The National University of Malaysia. She's currently practising as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Pantai Hospital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was previously awarded the Asian Young Endoscopist Award from the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2015. She is also a receiver of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)- the University of Melbourne Academy for Young Leaders (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) in 2017. She manages a wide array of cases in GI and Liver diseases. Among those, her main focus is Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Colorectal cancer, Functional GI diseases, clinical hepatology and Endoscopic Ultrasound. Dr Wong has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the Malaysia IBD Special interest Group, Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, American College of Gastroenterology and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK.
