Dr. Chen Kuo Hsin

Currently, Dr. KuoHsin Chen serves as the chair of department of surgery, Far-Eastern Memorial Hospital, New Taipei City, Taiwan. His main academic interest is hepatobiliopanreatic surgery, herniology, liver and kidney transplantation and minimally invasive surgery. He initiated one of the earliest TEP endoscopic hernia repair program in Taiwan in 2001, the first robotic HPB surgery program in Taiwan in 2010 and started the first laparoscopic donor hepatectomy for adult living donor liver transplantation in Taiwan in March 2012. Dr. Chen also serves as President of Taiwanese Hernia Society and Taiwan Association of Endoscopic Surgery as well as board member in some domestic surgical societies.
